It's May, '43, and I'm on duty in the Mediterranean. I've just completed my mission of patrolling grid CJ22 for 24 hrs. This grid is at the northern end of the Adriatic Sea, to the east of Venice.
I can't figure out the rationale for this mission, since Italy is still in the war on Germany's side. The only ships I encountered in the Adriatic going to and from CJ22 were friendlies. Maybe I was supposed to give my crew some R&R in Venice as a morale booster.:D
But seriously, is the assignment of a patrol grids purely random in SH3 (v1.4)? If not, what algorithm (if that's the correct term) is used to assign missions?
