Yet more things that can now go wrong with the average car, then when accidents for users of this system go up through the roof everybody will be wondering, "geez what went wrong?"

Yeah. Considering I almost get run over by a cell phone user weekly, I think its time I invest in a T-72 to drive to work if these things ever go on sale! :D

I hate people who yap on phones when they should be driving. Its awful then you will get some right nutters going to work playing solitaire on their "carputers" Ban them right now or only let them work when the vehicle is stationary. Even then you will get problems because some people will pull up in the most ridiculous places to use their carputers!

There's nothing wrong with this. You guys are just projecting your own failings onto someone else.
Let's see, I-pod tunes...no...navmap...no...weather report...Yeah! That's it...no, wait, that's restaurant locations...let's see, touch-screen navigation...yeah, there's the weather station. Now for a quick look at the road...AAAAUUUUGHHHHH!!!!!:dead:

Volvo's assited braking system tries to deal with some of this, but that only protects you from what is in front of you, and it has the possibility of screwing up and not working. It also doesn't protect you from stupid lane changes and failing to look where you are going because you got your eye on the computer screen.
Technology - the double edged sword.
