Well, as you all know, I have made a bunch of movies using Fraps and Windows Movie Maker. However, lately I have been having problems with WMM, like freezing up, not responding and other quirks. Then it started to cut back the amount of MB I was able to compile into a movie. Now I know stabiz uses Ulead Studio 9 and I liked how he was able to put text in better than with WMM. So I found a site where I could purchase Ulead Studio 9 and it arrived today in the mail. Well, I was astonished with all the stuff that was in the box, and 2 CDs. 1 being the program CD and the other says Bonus.

I've tried to look through the book and find how to set it up just to make movies using Fraps vids. There are utilities listed, like Quick Time (which I hate) and other utilities. I haven't got the foggiest idea where to start in installing it. I don't want to make movies from a DVD camera or things like that, just a simple movie editor, which will use the Fraps vids and then allow me to compile it all into a wmv Movie.

Can someone that uses Ulead Studio 9 give me some help in getting it installed for what I want to do. What are the lest amount of utilities can I get away with not installing that would not affect what I want to do?

Help

Sorry everyone!

I thought that the installation might be one with Typical (recommend) or Custom, for which I could choose which components which to install.

Well, it's on my computer now, so I quess the first thing I have to is go through the Tutorial.

Sorry I bothered everyone with the start of this post.

I feel like an arse :damn:

Hi Seth and others who read my post.

It took me from 6 am until 10 am to get to learn how to get an image into the strip, how to put text in there, and that's it.

I don't know what multi text and single text. The manual looks impressive, but was really no help to me. Now I have to learn how to do the video effects, can't remember the names, there are two of them. When I click on one thimg it gives me all kinds of effects for the alphabet, can't figure that one out. I have no idea how to fade in and fade out text. Cannot find it anywhere.

But I'll keep plugging away at it. There are features in WIndows Movie Maker that I cannot find in Studio 9.
