So, my mission was to insert an Intel Agent into enemy territory. No problem at all. I make my way slowly to the designated map icon, enjoying mixed weather and beautiful sunsets and sunrises along the way.

Now, never having performed this kind of mission before, and as the user manual is about as much use as Paris Hilton at a MENSA convention, I arrived just off shore at the map icon location. At this point, I think I've initiated 'all stop' but in fact I'm moving forward at 1kt. So I'm still trying to figure out how the hell I'm supposed to deploy this Agent (who I'm now thoroughly fed up with) when my sub gently hits the sand.

At this point, I manage to engage my brain and actually do initiate all stop. Presto, a box magically appears allowing me to deploy the Agent who now has all of 20 feet to row in his little boat before reaching the sand. Hell, he could have walked to the front of the sub and jumped off.

The message board then informed me that the mission was complete and I gently reversed off the sand and went about my business.

Lucky they haven't added 'crew respect' mod yet! :D

wait till he deploys and his little rubber raft sounds like three destroyers just landed on your conning tower!

I like it when they give you an insertion point that is surrounded with shore batteries :hmm:

Yuh thats stealthy.

First time I did it my sub was still doing 4kts with the engines off. The little raft was scrapping the side of my sub. The water was rough as well. The raft flipped and never righted itself. Supplies and men lost......oh well, my job was done;) I motored out to the shipping lanes....that job should be left to the PT boats anyway:smug:
