Singer Sheryl Crow has said a ban on using too much toilet paper should be introduced to help the environment. Crow has suggested using "only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required".

Eating sleeves and toilet paper rationing. Boy, Sheryl Crow really is serious about conserving national resources while she drives around in that biodiesel bus.

What you don't see is the three tractor trailers, four buses, and six cars that make up her entourage following behind the bus.

Sheryl Crow promotes bottom wiping 'army style' -

1) take one square of toilet paper and fold in half.
2) tear out a small semicircle from the middle of the fold and put aside.
3) insert the digit of your preference through the hole you have just made in your sheet of paper.
4) do the 'business' with said extremity and when satisfied pull the piece of paper back off your finger, removing any 'collected matter', and discard.
5) use that itty-bitty bit of paper you put aside in step two to clean the **** from under your fingernail.

Bob's your uncle, or maybe that should be Sargent Major?

Don't forget the hearty clap on the back of someone you don't particularly like to dislodge any remaining bits of poo.

I think 'jumping the shark' might be the appro phrase here.

I think 'jumping the shark' might be the appro phrase here.

I've heard this phrase often lately and find it amusing. The Fonzi element anyway.
I almost used it myself yesterday. My concern is that it is nothing more than a PC way of ending a discussion on this forum when an individual has grown tired and has nothing more to contribute( the moment of 'jumping the shark'). That is not neccessarily the case for everyone.

For those unfamiliar with the phrase:

It's used in reference to celebrities, nothing PC about it......

Did you read the wiki? I wonder if you ever bother to read the posts of others. ( My touche moment )

Some have broadened its use to simply describe any decline in appeal for the subject in question, without requiring a significant "jump the shark" moment

I wonder where you're getting the PC part from. There's context here too, not got very much to do with forum discussions. just curious

The term has also evolved to describe other areas of pop culture, including movie series, music, acting celebrities, or authors for whom a drastic change was seen as the beginning of the end. These changes are often attempts to attract their fans' waning attention with over-the-top statements or increasingly overt appeals to sex or violence. Some have broadened its use to simply describe any decline in appeal for the subject in question, without requiring a significant "jump the shark" moment

Thought jumping the shark referred to TV shows.

Wait until she's old and has the attendant problems. Then she'll be talking about only using one roll, rather than two or three.

One square?? Hell, if you're that conservative then you might as well just use your hand and skip the paper all together. :rotfl: :yep:

But please wash your hands real well when you get done, ok?

That won't work: you will waste water then. :rotfl:

I'll accept to limit my loo paper if in turn Sheryl Crow gets limited aswell. Don't want to hear from her more than once in a century.

my personal thought on jump the shark is that it means someone or something has gone absurd and now lacks credibility....

like Fonzi jumping a freaking shark cage...

Apocryphal story. She wasn't being serious, just joking. Naturally, she was then taken out of context...the usual result of "reporting" from the MSM.

One has to wonder if these people even have to wipe their own rear ends? Five sheets from the machine let alone one(lol)? Takes me ten squares or so just to get the seat covered in a somewhat sanitary fashion. I'm not even happy that they've taken to making the rolls about an inch more narrow in public restrooms.

And if you watch how many folks actually wash their hands after they're done in there, you really don't want to shake anyones hand period.
