I watched one of the videos on here and though it was excellent, the tools for charting a vessel and destroying it are a little daunting. When you experienced captains out there are notified of a nearby ship, what exactly do you do from sighting to sinking. I've read the manual but I wondered if the more experienced people here had some tips. Thanks a lot!!

I've read the manual

Well that wouldent be much help since its a bit er... innaccurate.

Anyhow the thread pointed out is a good one.

There is also some stickied "guides" at the top of thes forums which are quite helpful.

Welcome and good hunting

Tang, you don't know what you've asked ;) I take it you're new to subsimming? That is a very deep question you pose, "what exactly do you do from sighting to sinking"!

Here is a site that may provide some useful info:

This is the SH3 Wiki, and while it's oriented towards SH3, the basic principles are the same whether you're driving a u-boat or a fleet boat.

I'll leave it to you to dig out the useful stuff, but be assured there is plenty in there that will help you!

Good hunting!

It's still useful though. I keep mine in the bathroom, you never know when you're gonna run out of toilet paper...

Thanks for the links. They were extremely helpful--particularly Wazoo's Manual Plotting and Targeting Tutorial. Much appreciated! :D
