I am wondering how big damage made those aircrafts to carriers when they hit them :) Is it possible to sink carrier by those kamikaze pilots ?

Not only aircraft but also they had a big bomb with thire aircraft.
So it will give a big damege,I think.

The planes were loaded with explosives. Notice the size of the explosion in the very first attack shown. The carrier is of course also loaded with aviation fuel. They burn very well.

Nope that sounds about right i have to say those guys must have had serious dedication to the empire to run there plain into a carrier or anything for that matter kinda scary how dedicated people can be funny how 60+ years later were seeing suicide bombers doing the self same thing talk about a step back sheesh i think thats scary history repeating itself:hmm:

St. Lo was indeed sunk by kamikazes. Several other light carriers were badly damaged by them. The fleet carriers Franklin and Intrepid were also hit by kamikazes. Franklin was lucky to survive and was effectively put out of the war. Intrepid was out of action for only a few hours. The British fleet carriers Victorious and Formidable were also hit by kamikazes, but, thanks to their armoured flight decks, were quickly back in action.

USS OMMANEY BAY (CVE-79) - Sunk January 4, 1945. Sunk by a Kamikaze off of Mindoro, Philippines.

USS BISMARK SEA (CVE-95) - Sunk February 21, 1945. Struck by two Kamikazis off of Iwo Jima. The planes set off uncontrollable fires and exploding ammunition. Due to the great explosions the ship was abandoned and sank beneath the waves in 90 minutes with the loss of 318 men.

USS ENTERPRISE (CV-6) - The most decorated aircraft carrier of World War II was struck by a bomb-laiden Kamikaze off of Okinawa on May 14, 1945. The blast blew her forward elevator 700 feet into the air, killing 14 sailors and injuring 34.
