CTD 1.02

Career , new one started 1st mission. Heavy rain dark night (black in fact) crew shout out ship spotted. On manual targetting but contact map on, can't see a thing even though the ship is 200mts on my nose. I let loose a couple and 1 hits, heard explosion and that is when it happened. Loud bang of torp exploding and screen goes black sound still working and then after a min or so ... CDT.

I experienced the exact same things many times. Usually when dark and looking through the periscope.

I run on Vista, but after a lot of CTD's I decided to try to install WinXP on another partition, and after trying some hours i haven't had any problems with CTD's, so might try that (if you have a spare partition to install on)

I had the same, rain, fog, ship exploding, black screen of death and then my desktop:nope: I cleaned up my hard drive. Cleaned up the registry. Dumped all the internet junk my kids get on the computer checking out Hanna Montana and Nickalodeon. No issues since. I have XP.

I believe with all the crap my kids put on the computer that day and a lot of action for the computer at the time it crashed was just a bit to much so it said screw you and took a coffee break.

Clean up the junk and defrag. This worked for me. Two straight hours last night of rough sea and three exploding vessels...no CTD:up:

2. Fixed the damage model for the Kinposan Maru/Medium Modern Split Superstructure Freighter

If you CTD after torpedoing that ship, id suspect that would be the cause.
