What color is the shallow/coastal Atlantic ocean?
It's pale green in the Asiatic. Is there any difference with Atlantic's shallow
I need the info for a model base.
Thx
The paler the blue the shallower it is. If you going in close to the coast, keep a careful check on the depth blow the keel. You may have to fight it out with aircraft on the surface if you can't dive. Not good :p

I suppose you want to know how it looks in the real world? I've been to the North Sea and the coast of the Bretagne. As far as I remember, both times it had a medium to darkish blue colour to it. Depends also on the weather conditions, in stormy weather the North Sea looked very dark, almost black.

Heh from my one trip across the north sea its more of a muddy brown colour ;)
The Pacific has a greener tint to it. I have spent my career on a number of Oceans (or under it lol) - The Atlantic has a decided blue tint to it. If I remember right it is due to a type of Plankton that occurs in the Pacific.
