Hello everyone. Little advertisement here but something I think you all would enjoy. Remember awhile back when I kept asking for procedures on how to dive a U-Boat. Well, I had something going for it and I have finally finished it. Took me a couple months to get the story where I wanted it and how it looked, but it is finished. I actually didn't mean to be this long. Damn near 100,000 words. The drafts took me about a month with totalied out to about 90,000 words at first. Since the editing phase(s) it became longer but flowed a little better.
This is kinda of a cross over between SHIII and Sonic the Hedgehog comic series. Recently, I have found myself reading the comics again and realized how much I missed it. I grew up with it when I was a kid and Knuckles happened to be my hero...and today, along with Steve McQueen, he still is. But a notion from all this came over me. (No, it wasn't if they had a German U-boat as a weapon.) The notion if Knuckles had a brother. At first, the sub idea was furthest from my mind until I created the basis of the main character a lot further. How did the boat come-in in all this? Bonding! Plus to have an adventure that some of us long to have.
Like I said, it's a about 100,000 words. 15 chapters with an afterword coming along soon after I edit that. I tried to give as much true detail as I could find and research plus keep the story plausable on both counts. Its the future and all so mind the technology. The boat...a Type VIIC. I wanted to use an allied sub for this, but I have played the game for so long and all that I know the interior to the type VII like the back of my hand, almost.
Some of the back ground history in the timeline will confuse some of yall, if not all. I should have described and narrated the course of events in the comic to help the readers, but the original audence to this practaclly knows it and I don't want to bore the living crap out of them...and possibly y'all as well. It's long enough. Just tell me what you think, how I did, and where I really need to improve.
The Summery:
Dr. Robotnick (Eggman) has vurtialy all of Mobius under his control. With the odds working against the Freedom Fighters that stand against the mad scientist, they are trying their best to even them out. Leading them is the Kingdom of Acorn and the Blue Blurr...Sonic the Hedgehog. With the resistence comes Knuckles the Echidna, who had to seek exhile along with his friends from their homeland.
But when a stranger comes calling, looking to make a buck, a secret is revieled to Knuckles that he wounders if it is true. To seek the answers he goes back to his occupied homeland to in search of truth. When he finds it, he is stunned.
But with one secret revieled another is found on the jounrey home: and it almost kills them. With a new weapon that his stalking the seas under the waves, and with Sonic and the Guardian not liking to swim, they have to turn to the stranger to use a forgotten weapon since the Great War. And it takes them to the ends of the world.
