View Full Version : **The famous sub "Kraka" is for sale**
The sub pictured in the Kraka story in the Subsim alamanac has been put up for sale.
How about a joint Subsim.com venture? The owners told me that they prefer to sell their baby to people who will truly enjoy her and take good care of her....isnt that us??

Any idea what price she is going for?
He told me that if a millionaire would have to offer several millions to buy it, but if the offer came from a person that would take good care of her, the amount was not that important.
Having had the pleasure of diving with her I can say, shes an outstanding vessel and a dream come true for me to have sailed with her.
The only reason I dont purchase her myself is the money and I dont have the free time for maintanence.
This is a one in a lifetime opertunity to actully have possesion of a WWII shaped sub!

So 50 $ is all you think a fully functional dieselsubmarine is worth...hm...you better just keep playing on your PC where "game over" only meens an inconvient break.
on top - you demand it eqiped with torpedoes...ohh yes...just the cost of a small model submarine far excceds your budget.
did you post a joke or are you infact a joke your self ?
Regards...

just to be clear I dont give a damn even if he was the King of Spain,
I rent and Sell motorbikes myself, and I see people doing the same thing about the price of/about our motorbikes , at least I can take the Humor of the clients and I stay friendly towards them.
like silly jokes can do harm to a Sub, sorry but I dont see the problem of the fella.
look if he want reasonable answers or thoughts then give us an Idea of the Price, just give us an Idea about how big our wallets have to be. then you can expect more serious answers then not give us a single clue.
if you want to sell something
and you want it to sell, remember client service
if you are going to say to people who just make silly jokes about the price and ask if it has Torpedo's on it, just for FUN and tell them if they are a JOKE themselfs is not very friendly.
like I said before ''its a silly JOKE''
I,m not disrespecting the Builder here, but his aproach is just rude. he could have replied a lot different.

Oh I know. Just to be clear, I agree with you as well. In fact I want that sub to be equipped with a nuke reactor, towed array and some Shkval torpedoes :|\\

People calm down please...
Peter, they mean no harm they are just joking around a bit.
People, please also understand that this boat consists of several years of hard work and the submarine is very dear and personal to him.

we do,
but the Jokes didnt insult the Submarine , or harmed the status of it
I've visited their website and I,m very impressed what they have made.
the only thing is , I,m a to tall to fit in. and for me it would be very incomfortabe to be in for long times. but still its a Nice job and a good attempt to recreate the old

I am sorry...I did not mean to make anybody angry - my point is simply that I would like people to be a little more serious.
Kraka is a simple boat - and there are a number of people around the world who build and operate private submarines and have great fun like my self. So if anyone
( again like my self ) who enjoys submarine simulators - would like to find out what its really all about - building or buying midget is not impossible.
I love flying a Messerschmitt Me 109 Gustav in the splendid Li2 Sturmovic simulation - and if I could bye a replica - with a little less than 1800 shp but with the lines and shape of the original - I would love to do so. As for Kraka - the cost that it will go for is comparable to any other motor boat at the same size - 6 tones / 12 meters. Since Kraka has a few extra features...I think that is not so unreasonable. I culd easyly be a group of people - so the individual cost would be much less than e.g. buying a motorbike.
Most diving in Kraka is recreational visits to the underwater world - but not always.
We have sometimes played cat and mouse - in company event context - with a RIB boat acting as a asw surface ship - with them dropping underwater explosives - very small - and its great fun. Fact is - with out very sofisticated equipment a submarine - even as simple as ouers in undetecteble by surface ships so the submarine always wins unless hadicaped ( e.g. by being unable to go deaper than periscope depth ) These 3D wargames could be a sport to some...
In a few days time we launch Kraka again - with any improvements. I can only say that if I could share the experience with some of you people including Executive Officer Rilder - I would be delighted.
best regrads,
Peter
