The whale had died on Jan. 17 after it beached itself on the southwestern coast of the island.

I saw a comic do a skit about this once.

Although a whale's "equipment" is 5 feet long, only the last 2 inches or so go into the female whale. So it the whale's "equipment" was only 4 feet 9 inches he would be totally out of luck.
