Das Boot - Purchase in store?

I know I can order the movie online but is there a local store that would carry it? Walmart has it on there website but dosent say if they carry it "in-store".

There are also several different versions available, so make sure you are getting the one you want.

There is a version even longer than the Director's Cut, that I believe was originally shown as a mini-series in Germany.

I bought my 2 disc directors cut on Ebay. Much better than the 90 minute version I first saw in the 80's..

The release and extended versions release were some time ago. Stores do not carry it or it is very hard to find. I did get mine at a Borders Book Store. Just happen to have a copy.

I can only speak for Germany but I don't think that it's different in other countries. If you find a version in stores it will be the director's cut. That's the one shown in tv since its release.

There is another, shorter version that was shown before the dirctor's cut came out. And there is the best version, the almost 300 minutes long mini-series version. I think you can get these two only in online stores.

Get the 5-hour "Uncut" version at Amazon. That's probably the best way now, and if you do it through Subsim the Onkel gets a cut.:rock:
