No wonder you were disappointed with the ending. The wish could be one of 3 (or 4, not sure because I don't know of all of them) endings, and if you played like me, you would have got the rich ending - a not so fitting ending I must say, but one that makes total sense if you think about it! You have been scrapping by the whole game, and then you get wealthy selling artifacts and what not, so you get what you wanted - which leads to your demise through what you wanted! Other possible endings, depending on your affiliation with Duty and Freedom, could be to upset the balance of power with Duty or Freedom, but you must play through again and I won't spoil these for you.

But anyway, remember that decoder you got from the hotel? It wasn't put there for fun - there is a use for it - get going! Also, you get to make actual choices where you are going with it too - to choose you ending.

But yes, I was frustrated with the 'get rich' ending at first and then sort of liked it when I had a chance to chill out. That said, the fact that there's more to it is encouraging enough!

You did go into the hotel for the secret stash, right? There was a decoder and papers in there. THe decoder is required to crack the door open to where you really need to go. If you don't have it, well, I hope you have a save game back in Papiyarat (Or however you spell it)
