Knowing the Japanese - well, the 2nd one most definitely is :yep:
The first one doesn't quite look like a commercial, but may well be.
Japan has a very... unique culture as relates to television and commercials :p

Yes, I always thought they were very well done. Not really 'in your face' with the patriotism etc. but still very striking in their own way. :up:
