Hi
Well I'm finally in Career mode!
Yes I got an Average on Torp and Convoy Exams and so now I'm off in my VIIB in 1939 to see what damage I can do.
My very first patrol was on REALLY REALLY rough seas - it almost made me feel seasick just watching the waves so much higher than my conning tower!
The only contact I got though was a British Navy Destroyer just off the North Scotish coast. However the sea was pitching me about so badly plus the waves were obscuring my view of the destroyer for about 10 secs every 15 secs, that it was impossible for me to get a manual range on the target (100% realism with GWX installed) so what should a girl do?
Should I just bug out and forget about such a juicy target 'cause the wx's too rough? Should I (as I have been hunting this forum) install a mod for counting the 'screws' is it? And set off a shot just using the hydrophones?
I tried hanging about for 24 hours in the area in the hopes the swells died down, but alas, they didn't even when I went to the West of England into the Atlantic to finish my 24 hr assignment, and then back around the UK to my German base - it was still heaving!
Any thoughts for this noob?
Thank you.
