Problem Getting the Radar to Work

I have never been able to get the radar to work. I followed the manual precisely but am unable to turn it on. I do have the sub surfaced! Any help would be very appreciated.

I think any waves that wash up above the deck automatically make the radar think its the sub doing a periscope dive, and thus shuts the radar down.

This seems to happen even in light seas, so...you guessed it!

That would be a pretty tall wave . . .

The radar is on that tall mast next to the OOD. The rotating thing down on the fore-deck is a hydrophone.

I had that problem with the Balao class early on. Changed RADAR from SJ-I to SJ and it stopped. Works for me with that class...
