should I transfer to Bordeaux?

June 1940 and I'm starting from Kiel
If I transfer to Bordeaux will they get me a new sub?
Will I be able to get type IX later on in Bordeaux?
Should I wait untill Brest or Lorient are available sub bases?

My last patrol was all based from Brest so I'm a noob when it comes to transfers

Once you transfer you get your current boat and crew with you. If you want to change boat then you must "buy" it with renown.
Will I be able to get type IX later on in Bordeaux?

I don't remember the base configurations and I cannot look at them at the moment as I am at work. I do remember though that Lorient was a IX-Type boat base. My suggestion is to check the manual (if you're using GWX) as it lists all the bases and boats.

2nd Flotilla Lorient.....you can commence the war with a type IX :yep:
Might I suggest you use SH3Cmdr then you can pick and choose most of the ports and sub types (subject to availability of course) :arrgh!:
