The bugs in this game are incredible, I just ended a patrol after transferring to Brisbane and now I can’t actually end the patrol after completing the mission objectives. On top of that the video in the game is crawling to a basic stop in performance whenever I go to launch a torpedo attack.

I am quickly loosing interest in this game and that is a dam shame. UBI should be ashamed and be called out on this title that is for sure.

I think like a lot of people I will wait to see what a patch does to the game before calling it quits on this and return to the Atlantic and GWX.

Yeah, it can be very frustrating. Hopefully the 1.2 patch will help...

I am hoping, I just reloaded the game from the time I was in Pearl, lost about 4 patrols. Hopefully now it will at least let me make and finnish a patrol.

Any news on the release of the patch?

I'm in the same boat as far as not being able to end my current mission. I think I have been reassigned to a new base (started in Manilla) but never recieved a message. I'm glad to have the game regardless. I'm confident this will be ironed out w/ the next patch.
In the meantime there are quick missions that aren't affected by this particular bug.
I look at it this way. If Ubisoft had not released the game at this time but offered to sell me a pre-release copy to play in the meantime, you bet I would have jumped on it.

That's definitely seeing things in a glass half full, light. ;)

I dont like to complain...much :) and perhaps I should called it a rant or maybe it was frustration who knows? but after playing a patrol all day long and that is with time compression only to get on point and have the game go to a crawl and not be able to shoot your torps in a timely fashion then not be able to return to port is enough to drive a skipper mad!!

I want this game to be better then SH3 cause I love fighting on the American side, American WWII subs to me are awsome fighting machines and had I had a choice to fight in a U-boat or a Balao in WWII I would have chosen Balao hands down and that has nothing to do with the fact that I am American so dont go there :)

But oh boy, the bugs just wear you down after awhile.

But oh boy, the bugs just wear you down after awhile. I do my best to play game the best I can within the limitations of the bugs. Although SH4 can be a lot of fun even in the current state it's in, I agree that the many bugs can get a little frustrating at times. The bottom line is that SH4 needed a little more time to bake, but unfortunately was yanked from the oven too early. That being said, I'm confident Ubi will remain diligent in rectifying things via solid patches.

I'm with Flint on this. I think the next patch will deliver us from the evil bugs:o

In all reality the only bug that is getting to me is the TDC not working correctly when targets are coming from your port side. Other than that....nothing else is really getting to me. I'm enjoying it!

I think 1.2 will be a significant patch that will resolve many issues. That's why it's in all our interests for the Devs to take their time and release the patch when it's finished and fully tested.
