Ok, I've mainly been a multiplayer guy. I'd hop in for a few games and sink some ships with some people, it was good fun. But now, with the realease of SH4, I thought I'd kick it into gear and try to work on the SH3 singleplayer since I've never gotten far in it. I started a new career with 92% realism (everything real except for external view, a must have if you ask me :D). Anyways, I started out of Wilhelmshaven in 1939 in the 1st Flotilla. I steamed out of port and started to kick up the time compression, and boy, is it a pain with the crew constantly needing to rest in and out, I'm spending practically all my time on the crew management screen putting people in and out. I finally arrived to my first objective (grid AN16) and I am around 60-65% fuel. Now, my second objective is to patrol grid AN16 for 24 hours. I have already been there for 24 hours, do I have to plot a course all the way around the grid, or what do I do to complete it? Will I have enough fuel to get back?

Please help... thanks!

As long as you stay inside the grid for 24 hours, you complete the objective . Look into the F8 screen to see when your time is up.

You can even stop engines if you want. Once you have completed the 24 hrs. start hunting.

Good luck, Herr Kaleun

GET GWX!! it has an overhauled fatigue system which eliminates most of the micromanagement. See SH3 mods workshop forum, sticky on top.

Cheers!

Get SH3commander also
You can play with no fatigue
I do
Not my job to babysit the crew
Have enough to do with navigating and taking the watch
Oh and manning the hydaphones and ........ well you get the rest

...and running a 24/7 Bernard watch: "If you see him stumble into the command room, just throw this tennis ball towards the torpedo room. Let Fritz have all the fun".

Time compression/crew fatigue can be a real pain. If they are fully rested, kick it up to TC 64. With 64 and higher, they neither tire nor get rested..

Good Hunting!!
