ITV Weather service has given out 82ºF for the south east of England this weekend, in April  what the heck is going on here. I know the weather service since January has been smug by saying the summer of 2007 will be hotter than last year and 110ºF is on the cards, :o what is going on with are weather.

I was in the UK last year for a week. It was 90 degrees every day. Polar ice caps melting and shrinking, freak weather worldwide int he last 5 years, record high temps, record low water levels, ....

All that global warming and enviromental guff. Ha! Stupid scientists with their silly facts!

It's not so long ago that the Thames used to freeze solid.

Folks round here still tell stories of winters so bad they 1000s of sheep perished.
Its not been like that for a long time tho.
It is hotter these days.

It is due to the ocean currents. That is changing this coming year, so expect the opposite next year. It is a 7 year cycle.

One thing with the desert you can get to sleep as it's cooler than the city.

'76 was the year I was born, according to me ma it was well hot innit

See, the problem with all of these high temperatures in the UK is that it never lasts long enough for anyone to get used to it. When I lived in Bahrain, 45 centigrade was nothing to get excited about, just another day, you know?
Here we get 25 - 30 degrees and everyone starts to melt. Obviously this has some beneficial ramifications if you're a bloke - all of the hot women dust off those skimpy attires that leave very little to the imagination :rock:
But on the down side, the actual heat just irritates me, especially when I'm trying to get some sleep. Then before you know it it's pissing it down with rain again.
I'm not much of a sun worshipper when it comes right down to it, but just as I'm prepared to give it a chance it's gone again...
Spring and autumn are my favourite times of the year, sunny but fresh.

Same here.

The problem with are heat is the fact it contains a lot of moisture which is bad for you and trying to get any sleep in it is a nightmare. Barren heat is better.

At my house yesterday morning. Sky overcast, it was darker and the pictures actually appears sunny only due to long exposure. PSP9 used to lighten up photos even more.

I use to photograph the cherry blossoming every year. And it appears to me a bit earlier with every year.

Throughout all winter, sporadically apple trees and other trees tried to blossom and developed buds. Most buds even survived. First crocus I saw around New Year.

we had no winter at all this year, i often was outside with just a pullover, or even T-Shirt on some rare days. 6 hours of snow one day, that was all. when I was at school, roughly 6 weeks of snow were common.

Can some of you people send me some of that wonderful Global Warming?

After some of the worst ice storms seen in decades here in the very center of mid-america, I've had to put up with most days in the month of April at around freezing temperatures.

Share some of that goodness!

You'll get your share soon enogh, maybe :D
This year we had no winter only autumn and spring. Last year we had one week so extremely cold and snow-heavy (for the standards of this region) that powerlines broke down and in northrhine westphalia and lower saxony many areas saw households woithout power and heatinf for up to one week. I am fourty today. I cannot remember to have heared of such intense cold in all my life before.

Seems to me weather is spiking between extremes.

So this year you may have gottenthe snow, next year you may get the Caribean. Heads up and cheer!

Climatic shivering fit...
