Who did the Texans get to replace him?
Onkel Neal

Matt Shraub, I believe. Mike Vick's backup. Not sure it will make any difference, it's really tough to throw when you're flat on your back :)
Seriously. Didn't Carr set the record for times sacked in a season? The kid never had a chance....O line from hell.

Here's a better question...who wants to play for the Texans?

Interesting that Fox shifted his entire coaching staff around for 2007. Looks like we've got Jeff Davidson of Patriots fame coming to give his take on the Panthers' offensive line.

I don't see how anyone would be impressed with David Carr's performance, even considering him as a backup. After having entered the league with so many great expectations, he has been a dissapointment. At the same time, I share Neal's assessment that the offensive line must improve drastically to give Shraub, or Houston's running game for that matter, a chance.

Seconded. And speaking of the running game, we haven't really had a running threat (aside from Domanick Davis that one year) to take the pressure off the QB. I'm not sure if the talented-but-my-god-he's-200-years-old Ahman Green is the answer there either.
Looks like another 4 to 6 win season.
