I really dislike the way the sim has this old 1940s news reel look to it. People didnt walk around in real life in the 40's with "old 1940s news reel vision" so why incorporate it into a game that is supposed to be immersive?

the graphics are awesome but everyrhing has this sort of grainy film over it. especially in the command room.

i like how everything in SH3 was crisp and clean... but in SH4 its almost like you are looking through some sort of visualized white noise.

is there some way to fix this? will AA do it? is there a graphic setting that will help?

No, AA will not fix that.

What you want to do is turn off the "Post Processing Filter" option in the graphics menus.

I think this has something to do with "Full screen glare" not "Post filtering" The glare option isn't working correctly on the ATI cards. It appears that the glare option affects the interior also. Uncheck the glare option and the interiors become crisp and the contrast is upped. (less of the "misty" effect)
