I don't know where those numbers come from, but some of them are way off. These numbers match the ones in Submarines of World War Two, and Conway's All The World's Fighting Ships 1922-1946:

Hi doing all :D

I was at a loss a little. it's a SH4 Manual numerical value being different from real performance value (Historical Fact).

However, because I want to show performance in this game. I made it numerical value according to a manual daringly.

Good point. You do want it to match the game performance, even if that's wrong. On that subject, has anyone actually run the S-class at full speed underwater? Do they make 9 knots or 11 when you do it in the game?

S-CLASS become 9 knots According to the SH4 manual.

Is it possible to display this information in the game? Someone did something similar for the torpedoes. When you hover the mouse over an item, it displays a tooltip with the performance data.

Yea, that would be great. I miss all the facts that were in SH3. They even told who manufactured the turbo charger things and so forh.

If do you want a display in the game.

Open your menu.txt file and copy and paste in the following information.

5370=Type: Mark 10|Range: 3,500 yards at 36 knots|Propulsion: Wet-heater.

5371=Type: Mark 14|Range: 4,500 yards at 46 knots OR 9,000 yards at 31 knots|Propulsion: Wet-heater |There was much malfunction.

5372=Type: Mark 16|Range: 13,700 yards at 46 knots|Propulsion: Hydrogen Peroxide.

5373=Type: Mark 18|Range: 4,000 yards at 29 knots|Propulsion: Electric-Battery.

5374=Type: Mark 23|Range: 4,500 yards at 46 knots|Propulsion: Wet-heater.

5375=Type: Mark 27|Range: 5,000 yards at 12 knots|Propulsion: Battery.

And If do you want a add Information data ( At the end of each item add " |There was much malfunction " )

Thanks Ocean Blue

Thanks OceanBlue.
I looked in the menu.txt file but there seem to be no entries for the sub classes, so it's not possible to add the additional information in this file :cry:

Awesome, your a legend Ocean Blue.

Also, isn't the Gato speed on 9 Knots submerged correct?

Im guessing the game has it running 11 sumberged?

This is what I use for the torpedoes:

5370=Type: Mark 10|Range: 3,500 yards at 36 knots|Propulsion: Wet-heater|Notes: World War I-era torpedo still used by S-class submarines during World War II.
5371=Type: Mark 14|Range: 4,500 yards at 46 knots OR 9,000 yards at 31 knots|Propulsion: Wet-heater|Notes: Though initially plagued with many problems, it was the standard submarine torpedo of the war.
5372=Type: Mark 16|Range: 13,700 yards at 46 knots|Propulsion: Hydrogen Peroxide|Notes: A high-performance but high-cost torpedo. Not used during the war but remained in service until the mid-1970s.
5373=Type: Mark 18|Range: 4,000 yards at 29 knots|Propulsion: Electric-Battery|Notes: The Westinghouse version of a British-captured German G7e. By war's end, it made up 65 percent of all torpedoes fired by American submarines.
5374=Type: Mark 23|Range: 4,500 yards at 46 knots|Propulsion: Wet-heater|Notes: Identical to the Mark 14 without the 31-knot setting. In service 1943-1946.
5375=Type: Mark 27|Range: 5,000 yards at 12 knots|Propulsion: Battery|Notes: A variation of the airborne Mark 24 adapted for submarine use. It was a passive homing weapon intended for self-defense against ASW escorts.
