Damage control team

My damage control teams aren't that good. What kind of guys do you place there? What skills and specialization are good for this job? Does anyone have some experience with that?

Expereriment a bit with high level and high skilled crewmembers. Try to get the skill bar on the left side as high as you can and still keep the compartments manned enough for action. Some players stock up on extra crew at port.

When I started my career, I loaded up the damage control with a bunch of skillesss sailors, picking the ones who had high stat values in different areas. This way I have extra crew, and depending on where they may be needed elsewhere, there is someone with good stats to swap with. Right now I am on my 11th patrol and those guys are all NCO's with different skills to match their stats. Its sort of like a reserve for the rest of the ship. At the same time, their mechanical ability goes up, making them good damage control guys :up:
