hmm that is a bit silly, you'd think that they would have made the people as detachable pieces that fly off

Trust me, the British and Americans are just as stupid (SH3-wise, anyway). In fact, they don't even know how to use the lifeboats!:rotfl:

I just saw in some of the screen shots today that they added lifeboats.
Can you shoot them? Im not eager to:) I just remember the debates during SH3.:arrgh!:

As I understand it you can shoot AT them, but you can't hit them.
A nice compromise, in my book.

really?
I'm surprised. So far the crew have been much more realistic than in SH3 in my experience. I have seen men go down on deck when explosions occur nearby. In fact the other day I grabbed a shot of a downed sailor lying on deck as his ship went down.

ive seen a screenshot of a sailor floating in the water with just his head sticking out.
It might have only lasted for half a second as he was blasted from his ship, but then again it might happen in game??
Can you sink lifeboats?
Yeh, you can shoot the lifeboats and get credited for them. Cant remember if they sink, tho. :hmm:

No Geneva Conventions repercussions for shooting life boats? All this time I have been operating on the theory that if you bag a life boat it is a career ender.

I shot up 2 lifeboats with my .50s once. I got kill credits for them but they counted for 0 tons each haha.
