Here at Easter-time in the UK, we are bombarded with D-I-Y commercials on the gogglebox. One of them is advertising 'paint runner' [easy paint system] with all the gathered 'members of the public' nodding their collective heads and telling us how great this paint runner is .. best invention since the wheel blah blah blah so was wondering if anybody here has used it and if so .. good, bad, indifferent ?

After finishing the job, it was time to cleanup. Here's where the Paint Runner really let me down. I soaked it in a bucket of water for 24 hours, per the instructions, and when I pulled it out it was still covered in paint. I then started washing it off, but it would have taken forever to finish the job. With normal roller, you'd just toss them, but since you only get ONE Paint Runner, you'll probably want to reuse it.
The Paint Runner is a neat idea, but not a very effective one. I found that between priming the Runner and cleanup, it wouldn't save me any time, and might actually make the process longer. Of course, you don't have to reload, but the other problems make this convenience seem unimportant. In the end, I wouldn't recommend it, unless you can't resist the novelty.
