I absolutely love it when they do this.. patricularly when you're crawling on the surface and you KNOW you don't have a chance to dive. Have been known to shout "JUSTICE!" at the top of my voice in these situations..

Back when I was scraping F-16s off the desert floor we called that "target fixation" and it kills pilots.

I am pretty sure the game does not model Target Fixation so it must be a programming error. It still is fun to watch. Almost as fun as two airplanes hitting each other (DOH!)

Hell no, I think the guys at Ubisoft did program this historical "target fixation" into their wonderful 100% finished game, but then the guys from GWX development took it out:shifty:
