It's 1941 and I have a VII-C. I recently upgraded to GWX 1.03 from the older version. Now, all of a sudden, when we are on the surface and I click on the depth gauge and click on 60 meters... the diving officer only takes me to 49 or 50. surfacing or ascending is fine... but diving is the problem... the boat stops short by about 10 meters usually. Anyone else notice this? And are there any fixes available?? Thanks!!
Did you upgrade mid patrol? If thats the case then there is no telling what will happen. The possible bugs are innumerable.
whats your speed ?
because a speed around 3 / 3+ knots is needed to maintain the set depth
and ofcourse the deeper you set your depth the bigger the diff
(if you're going 1-2(3?) knots)

Lemme see if I understand this, as I have had the same problem.
If I am creeping along at 1-2 knots there will be a maximum depth my sub can get to/maintain? And if I want to go deeper I need to up the speed a bit?
Is that right?
no
here is an example
i put my depth at 15 meters and im creeping along at 1-2 knots
then my sub will go to 12-13 meters
and the deeper you set the depth
the bigger the difference

You have a problem matey :yep: Your boat should always reach the ordered level, the time it takes is dependent on the speed you are moving at :arrgh!:
Check over your installation routine:
Delete any/all SH3 files from C\MyDocuments
Install a clean version of SH3 in C\Program Files\Ubisoft\SH3
Patch it to 1.4b
Copy the folder and paste it to whatever drive you want.
Rename the folder ‘GWX’.
Now install GWX
Now install GWX (v1.0 whatever)
Create a shortcut to the desktop..
Install the SH3Cmd 2.7 plus the SH3Cfg file
If your going to use multiple installs I’d suggest a separate install of SH3Cmdr for each plus an install of MultiSH3.

Morts is right on the money.
Have you tried applying the new "GWX-Reduced Positive Buoyancy Mod" that was introduced in version 1.03? It cuts down considerably on this behavior.
