I got a sprained ankle! Twisted the crap out of it during a game of basketball:oops:, heard lots of popping and cracking noises (Indicating that it's a third-degree sprain). Walking is now difficult an you can forget about me running anywhere. Not as bad as Joea's arm, but still painful, none-the-less.

So WW3 is on hold is it? ;)

Well looks like GWX and Beer for you for a week or so.

He...that's what happens when you practice Risk sports....

If you had stayed at home sinking enemy vessels bringing loads of war material to Europe, that would not have happened :smug:

Joking, of course. Wish you a soon recovery, and above all, no permanent consequences that don't allow you continuing playing basket:up:

Bad days for subsimmers here too.

Today an ASW taxi ambushed me waiting in the middle of a road, and opening a door just when I was passing with my scooter; wrong depth settings, anyway, I didn't took real damages.

Seconded.

ASWnut, you fool! Playing "SPORTS"?! Who do you think you are? Chuck Norris?!

Well, glad you learned your lesson. Kids, look at him and learn: don't play sports. Sports are dangerous and suicidal. Sports suck. Sports make you fat. Now go home and play computer games. :shifty:

;) Juuust kidding.

You'll get there buddy. Nothing can ground a sub skipper! I've been there. Different problem, different case. Had to walk with two crutches for almost an year, give or take a few months, like...umm, 3 or 4. No, don't give, just take a few months. But not too many! I want to make this dramatic and to sound as if I were superior to you for having been through longer suffering. You know, men like to compete, even if we are to compete on who got screwed the most! Do I win? I didn't endure any pain though, so that's a big advantage in your favour. Here's what you can do to beat me: go outside and jump on one foot, the injuried one! That will hurt alot! I'll concede defeat, you win! No doubt!

If you're not a man enough to take on this manly challenge, I'll just wish you a speedy recovery back to full shape in no time............sissy! :)

Woah, missed this. BTW got my cast off last week and getting my wrist mobility back...no heavy lifting for 3 months but am very thankful things will get better. BTW ASW, I did develop tendonitis in my overworked right arm...ice and rest are indicated for sure.

Here are a couple of pictures of my ankle while playing slow pitch softball in 2005. I slid into second and heard a 'pop'.

I can walk now, go up stairs (but not down), and flex it abit now. It's getting better by the moment. When I sprained it, I had to walk myself over 1000 feet to get to a first aid station. It sucked. Bad.

Heheh, nothing beats the crackling sound of a bone breaking, except perhaps looking down at the sudden excruciating pain and seeing a second knuckle appear under the skin at the end of your forearm just before the wrist :eek:

I was 12 when I broke my right arm in two places just short of the wrist joint, whilst skateboarding. Snapped the ulna right through and fractured the radius halfway.
And if I close my eyes I can still hear the noise it made nearly 20 years later...
It healed well but it aches on occasion in the joint of my radius/ulna/wrist.
