Why isn't there a hull percent rate to see how bad your sub is and to get a depth limit to dive because of it? Would be nice to know that if my boat is 75% damage that I could only dive the boat at 80 feet before if starts to destroy the ship.:D

while that would be nice, it would not be realistic.
How could you calculate your "hull precentage"?
How could you calculate what depth match this precentage?
The realistic answer would depend on where on your hull the damage is and that would be very hard to model.
What would be nice is if the chief of the boat could give advice to the captain about the integerty of the hull. Depending on the skill and experience of the Chief, this information may be accurate or not.

In the damage center there are bulkhead status icons for each compartment, check those for your hull status.

I believe you have to make your own assessment. If your bulkheads/hull just took a beating and required long repair times/critical flooding involved.....I recommend you go for a refit. Certainly not fixed like new and 69 crewmen are depending on your assessment. When in doubt, head home. That is the way I play it.

Thanks, Neal and AVG. Of course using those means that I'll actually have to act like a captain and make my own determinations.
DANG! Another bug!:rotfl:
