There's a great deal of 40's music out there.
My preference is to buy the CD's and rip the tracks to the computer.
My work requires me to have Adobe Audition 2.0 so I can then change the fidelity to mono and lessen it a bit so it sounds more 40's. Save them in mp3 to save space.
I haven't had much luck purchasing downloadable tracks from Music Match or Rhapsody as they don't allow changing format to be usable in SH3 or SH4 so my advice is to not waste money on the download sites and their DRM hurdles.
Someone also mentioned a site called Tuxedo Juction and they have a really great playlist but nothing there is downloadable. (No Right Clicking Allowed)

Having an in depth playlist aboard makes the hours go by and my crew loves 'em.
You can mix up the tracks with some news broadcasts and put them in the Radio section so you can tune around for different playlists.
I have always felt that the music in a game adds a great deal to the immersion factor and I'm very pleased that this functionality is enabled in both SH3 and SH4
(bump)
