View Full Version : Where is my save...?

I just started playing SHIII a couple of days ago. Yesterday I saved my progress but today when I went to reload THERE WAS NOTHING THERE.

I have gone to My Documents, and I can SEE the dang files of my save games - but how do I make them work?

The file structure I see is: My Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Name\0

Please lend a hand to a confused and saddened newb

Same happened to me, very strange. I put it down to me getting sunk ending my career then loading a previously save game, I think the game might see your carrier is over when you reload the game and scraps that career. Where you sunk at any time?

Hi Saint -Germain and welcome aboard, this has been known to happen if you change something between Saves within the game [even adding a music track into your Gramaphone folder can trigger this] and, like Da Junka mentions in his Post, reloading a previous save to dying then going back later; it doesn't happen all the time when you resurrect yourself.

You can try to get SH3 to recognise your saves by renaming the save folder (i.e captains name).

Rename & reload SH3, hopefully the new name will appear as a career option.

You have to go to your documents, carreer folder, carreer file and look where it is warover=true and change it to false.

The only time I exprienced this precise issue (game unable to find ANY previous saves) was when I ignored fellow Kaleuns' warnings and saved underwater. It seems that saving the game while submerged can produce all kind of strange effects, including this one.
