How is multiplay in SH4

Never really played mp in sh3, whats it like in sh4? As in is it playable or is there any bugs there. Heard that people can cheat or something in mp, is that true? Is there a safe, fair server I should look for?

On the other hand, how can you cheat in a coop? I suppose team play may be an issue but refer to rule #1.
