Free prescriptions for WalesPrescriptions are now free in Wales, while the rest of the country faces a 20p rise for medication.

If this 20p rise is due to what Wales has done then it's time to close the border to taffy land. :shifty: ;)

Fine close the borders, and I will then personally organise a huge protest to close the water spigot to England. Let the Limey's scorch in their own juice when summer comes.:rotfl:

You obviously don't know how well organised with money people from the Cardiganshire area are then.

England stands more chance of going bust than Wales, you all must be in debt over your eyeballs if you can't even get a free prescription. tsk tsk tsk...:shifty:

No, the Welsh are paying for the free medication with Welsh tax money.
The 20p rise in price for English prescriptions is not linked.

I wish England would increase tax so that we could afford to give free prescriptions.
Those burdened by the trials illness should not be burdened by the cost the NHS charges them for their illness.

Think of all the things you can buy with those 20p's which you now have to spend on prescriptions, maybe even toilet duck.

Well, this certainly is a rather British thread. As long as you can keep your physicians clean, the free prescriptions might not be abused.

They've had to make prescriptions free in Wales due to the increase in infections caught from sheep.:p

So Penny, how about I post my monthly prescription to you and you get the tablets and post them back to me - it'll work out cheaper :D

(As a Scotsman living down here I don't get into the water debate - I have my own supply piped down from the north :arrgh!: )
