Broken Back

how many people have broken the backs of enemy ships ?
so far ive only broken this freighter and a gunboat whos stern didnt sink but the bow did how funny.

hah just got another how this for a single torpedo hit sent the bow flying.

I seen broken backs but both pieces sank correctly. However on one occassion I miss cued 4 torps all of which hit the bow blowing the front away completely. All well and good except it sank by the stern :o

Umm, the bow is the pointy end, the rounded end with the propellers is called the stern.:rotfl: Pointy end goes forward....

I actually broke a large modern tanker with one fish, hit it about 1/3 from the bow, setting was 5 meters i think, hit was 1-2 meters from keel at least, got the kill instantly but the ship continued to float for quite some time..

Had another large tanke who I could't kill with 5-6 torps, and my last rounds with the deck gun - she just kept steaming on in 4-5 knots.. tried to ram her even, but no succes in that either.. :damn:

It kills you when you got 10 000 tons just in front of you and absolutely no weapons what so ever left on your tin can to kill it with :cry:

i just cut a Ammo Ship in to with 3 fish hits lol was cool

So far in SHIV I've been sent to put agents ashore and haven't even seen that many ships let alone shoot them in two. For some reason I usually seem to hit them about 20ft from the bow causing them to make enough water to submerge.
