Hi

Can anyone tell me whether they've experienced this?
I've had occasional slow downs. This is not like the "monolith" problem where the fps are 2-3 this is more like 1 frame rate every 2 seconds. This affects the mouse also. This has happened in port and also out at sea with no other ships in sight. The problem doesn't appear to clear the only way out is ctrl-alt-delete.
Any thoughts? Anyone else come across this?

cheers :p

Yeah, I've had this, several times on my last patrol... It clears up if you wait or try and change stations.

My assumption was that when the AI, damage, fires burning, like all the processes kick off at once when you are looking in a certain direction, reguardless of whether you are looking at the action or not. But it dosn't explain when sometimes it happend with only one ship around.

This is rather new too, as if there is some degrading performance...

Thanks for the reply.
This happened in an empty ocean even prior to having seen any action at all, for example, I've seen this when I've been cruising between Pearl Harbor and Midway. It's rare, but it's crippling when it happens. I'd asked the question originally because I haven't seen any post regarding this problem. Cheers.

I've experienced this exact same thing too.... the game stutters every second or two by dropping down to very low FPS. While its not frequent, it is rather annoying.

Interesting that I'm not the only one having this rather annoying little occurence.
