When do you get a new boat?

I´m on my fourth patrol. Spring -42. Sailing a Sargo-class sub.
I have totaly about 100,000 tons of shipping sunk so far.
When do I get a Gato.
I want the Gato. :rock:
How much shipping do I have to sink to get the Gato?

I hope they don´t end my career after they give me the Gato.
Forgot to say that I´m enlisted at Asiatic Subpac, at the moment my base is on Java.......so let´s hope they don´t prioritize the snobs from Pearl!!!

I got mine after I had sunk over 1600,000tn, as one of there top men I was given the choice of taking a new gato or keeping my old one. Now I don't know the trigger score to get a new sub, but after 3 missions (73%=no manual targeting on+ I had contacts on) I had sunk over 160,000tn.

I´ll sink some more and we´ll see what happends.......:arrgh!:
But so far I´m quite saticfied with the Sargo, but it lacks two tubes......
