I'm running the game with 100% realism and I've had alot of fun so far, great game IMO. The problem I'm having is measuring the range with the stadimeter. I noticed that my torps was off a couple of times and started to check what the problem was.

So I turned on map updates so check the range on the map vs range the stadimeter gives me. From what I've seen (videos, TDC discussion, SHIII tutorials etc.) I'm using the stadimeter correctly but it still is well off +-400-600 meters depending on the ship.

Is this a bug... Am I doing something wrong? Could someone post a perfect stadimeter alignment?

Thanks and have fun with the game ;)

One reply I got was the stadimeters in games were allways kinda flaky, and you had to play around with it to get a feel for the spots.

I've noticed a good place to start is by placing the waterline right in the center of the ship's flag. That usually gets me pretty close.

I really hope they fix this in a patch, as it is now, I HAVE to have map updates on just to check my range measurements.
