Patrol off (Insert location name here)

My current mission is to patrol off the Marshall Islands. The problem is that I've been patrolling off these islands for around two weeks (game time of course). I've also sunk a number of ships, but still there is no mission complete message.

Almost the same thing happened to me (I was patrolling the East China Sea), eventually I just gave up and began going back to Pearl, and I was about halfway back when I suddenly got the message that I had completed the objective.

Have you tried sending a status report, I always send a status report upon reaching a location/sinking targets in the area, and I haven't had any problems.

Usually it takes 48 hours of patrol to have the objective star to turn gray and therefore complete the objective.

You also have to send a status report in order to receive a new objective.
