GWX Without fresh install....

What are my chances of it running ok?

I just moved 2500 miles, and I cant find my damn CD box with my security code to do the fresh install. No biggie really, if push comes to shove, a new copy of SH3 is only $20 these days....but I wondered if I could get by with just updating my current version....

I think you may be okay... as long as you haven't added other mods on top.

Just make sure you are in-port to do so. :ping:

You can actually right click your SH3 installation and copy / paste it to back it up if you like.:arrgh!:

Ok, lets give it a shot.....

just a small note

make sure the SH3 installation is patched to 1.4b and nothing else has been installed on it (small mods , tools)
if you use Sh3commander
ROLLBACK first before installing GWX

and make sure after big installation of GWX to patch it up to 1.03 straight away to get the latest fixes/updates

this might ruin your current patrol, it hasnt been proofed that its fully trustworthy that after the GWX + 1.03 patch installation the current career still works. its at your own risk.
