sound problem

All sound in the game sometimes unexpectedly turns off and does not come back until i restart the game. SH4 is fully patched (1.1) and I have updated my sound drivers. Doesnt seem to work. Anyone have any ideas?

system specs:
p4p800-e deluxe mb
p4 3ghz
ati x800
1gig ram

Just a thought, drop you sound hardware acceleration and see if that helps. Also, in options inside the game. Go to sound and see if anything in there can be affecting lose of sound.

Tried both. Changing options in the sound menu does not seem to affect the problem. Any other ideas?

I would like to have an answer for you. Resently I hit pause and restarted. The music was not playing then I lost all sound:hmm:
