View Full Version : Chronometer operation and key chart question

Can anyone tell me how to use the stopwatch? I'm trying to obtain target ship's speed by timing but, while I can bring up the chronometer with "x", I see no key listed for its operation and there seems to be nothing clickable on the stopwatch itself.

If there is a good giude to keyboard functions published anywhere here, I'd be most grateful to be directed to it. The manual's listing is selective, to say the least and even the special edition does not come with a proper key card.

The very top knob is clickable and it starts and stops the chronometer function.

However, the function which will automatically tell you the speed (as described in the manual) is not operational in the game.

So, if you wish to use the manual TDC you will have to do it as the real USN subs did (manually!) - there are a few threads about that topic already.

Thanks, yes, I'm going to use "the 3:15 rule" once I figure it out precisely or adopt a chart published here about observing a change of bearing over time.

Remember 3min 15sec rule is only really if the game is set for metric.

Much easier in imperial as map scale is in nm.

That's good info and saved me some trouble, thank you.
