I was asking for help on the SimHQ forums - silent hunter series thread - about the same thing.
Quoting from the simHQ forum:
"A black featureless area surrounding the u-boat, viewed from the conning tower.
I can see the underneath of other vessels, and sunk vessels, underwater structures, and other things that shouldn't be visible. The sun is still visible after it sets, until a particular time when the environment shifts to night.
A rectangle of sea-surface that forms around my vessel, and other vessels and objects (including torpedoes!) when I am close enough.
Inside the Uboat, the crew appear in hues of blue, green and violet, and as I change my perspective sometimes their body parts disappear (their head always remains).
at regular intervals an "oscillating waveform" appears around the ship. It gets smaller and disappears as we sail away from it. It is the full spectrum of the rainbow, and parts of it move up and down like a seawave."
:-?
I have a Geforce4 MX card, as previously mentioned. I got SH3 in a discount box which didn't say that this Graphics card was unsupported. I have tried different versions of Forceware Drivers without any success.
Maybe there is a trick or somthing I can use to get the graphics working. Any suggestions are welcome :hmm: (except hardware upgrades, can't afford it).
in any case, I really love SH3!! :arrgh!:
