I haven't heard much about this, but...I think it's probably the biggest bug in the current version. By most estimates we should get ~10 hours at standard and up to ~36-48 at 1/3d (depending on class..currently, you can only do about 7 hours on 1/3d.

This has ALOT of implications on gameplay (too many airstrikes, anyone?)
Early war doctrine of Subs stated that if in air cover range of a Japanese airbase,
the sub was to run totally submerged during daylight hours.

Also, trying a sonar attack is just about impossible in 1.1, just don't have the stay down time...

Whenever I'm under I just alter the knots I'm doing rather than the telegraph speeds. 1 - 2 knots will give you juice for far longer than 10 hours. I can stay submerged from dawn to duck without probs.

I agree though, the battery times do seem a bit out.
