i posted this a couple of days ago

has anyone gotten SLI to function at all?

just curious.

this would be one thing the dev's could possibly consider adding in a later patch, unless its just not feasible.

i think it has more to do with ubi, then the devs. Ubi games as of late just dont have SLI support. which is a real let down for people who spent lots of money on cards

Nope. I lose FPS with SLI enabled.

Okay, so I'll hang my ignorance out there for all to see:
I just bought a new rig with SLI (specs below).
SLI support is a function of the software? I thought it 2 cards was better than one in every case.

specs:
Dell XPS 710
2x nVidia 7900 GS in SLI
Quad-core proc OC @ 3200
2 Gb Ocz ram
More harddrive space than NASA
Samsung 22" widescreen LCD
SB X-FI soundcard
2x dual-layer dvd burners
Windblows XP
3dMark06 score: 9,465

SLI works just fine and makes the game run better.

Get Nhancer (www.nhancer.com (http://www.nhancer.com) or http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=978) and create a new SLI profile for SH4. Use AFR (Alternate Frame Rendering) because SFR (Split Frame Rendering) may cause a crash; if it doesn't, so much the better.

S!

Latest nvidia drivers make nHancer no longer necessary. nHancer is still more user friendly, but you easily can enable the various SLI modes through the nvidia control panel now. I do not get a performance boost from any SLI mode. In some cases I lose performance, and more graphic glitches seem to appear. I don't think the game supports SLI (and if I recall, neither did SHIII).

Very interesting. I'll play with it some. Thanks guys. My copy of sh4 should be arriving on Monday. Gosh, now that I think about it... cough... cough... I feel the dreaded SubSim Flu coming on.. :smug:
