Need a little advice

Hi all, new recruit here. Have a slight confusion and would ask someone to clarify it for me. I can't seem to load my external torps into my tubes, I drag and drop em to the tube, but it does nothing. Yes I'm surfaced for those smarty britches out there, Is there something I am missing to get them to work? Kinda sucks having a Type IX out there with full external stores after running out of torps and can't use em. ANy help would be awesome and thanks.

Hi and welcome to subsim

When you drag and drop the torps internally do they " grey " out ?
Do you get a message if you hover mouse above a loading torp
EG " Not enough crew " or " Not enough crew in bow section " ?

Make sure your crew are not fatigued also

Most important are you in Silent Running ?

Try setting Silent running then unsetting it if not - sometimes helps

It doesn't matter what mode I am in, they won't load, even if I have fresh crew in all the torp rooms full with officers in each room. No matter what I do I cannot get them to load. I don't get any messages saying too few crew or anything like that either. As far as greyed out, it's hard to differentiate them sometimes, I have owned this game since release and have never gotten it to work lol.

I got it to work, they finally greyed out when I dragged them to the reserve stores, I noticed most of my torp crew was also fatigued so it may be why it takes so long to load em. Thanks for the help :)

Hi and welcome aboard. Use dedicated torpedo men and an Officer with a torpedo qualification and rest them after loading. Oh and don't forget to chase the gang to the back end otherwise the rear torpedoes will take forever to load ! :up:

I dont think you can load the externals directly into the empty tubes... im pretty sure you have to load them into an internal stores spot before the crew can load them into the tube

I have owned this game since release and have never gotten it to work lol.
