View Full Version : A kind reminder for SH4 critics

This post is just to remind that there are two well separated subjects of discussions which should be clearly differentiated:

- Critics about game bugs: Any legitimate game buyer has a undeniable RIGHT to critic a bug on release, point it and request a solution from UBI.

- Critics about differences with SH3/Excluded items: Those are game design items, and while any legitimate game buyer/potential buyer has an undeniable RIGHT to request them, UBI and the Dev team have no obligation to please everyone.

So I just wanted to remember and HINT everyone that:

1.- No claims should be made against game-design options, while any requests with user's wishes/preferences to modify/add/substract items are wellcomed en encouraged (And yes, those request posted here might well reach the Dev Team)

2.- Claims can be made against game bugs, requesting a proper solution from UBI, albeit in a civil way. A post that documents a game bug, explains it, describes the hardware/software used and request solutions is VERY wellcomed (refer to the sticky topic opened for that purpose).

According to #2. Please UBI, if you want to have your content protected use a simple and working tool for copyprotection or none. Not a tool that forces regular buyers to use no-cd cracks for playing or kills the features of the game. To quote a recent pressrelease of www.musicload.de: "3 out of 4 support call come directly from DRM." Thx

I don't recall having seen a version of Sh4 that ships with an UBI guy equipped with a pistol, who will stand behind you threatening to shoot if you don't use a "no-cd" crack. :hmm:

Anyway, while I myself concur to the wish of trouble-free copy-protections for legitimate users, it is to be noted that UBI at least listened to us and dropped Starforce. Or would you prefer SF for Sh4?;)

Please, not again a discussion about copy protections! :dead:

Hehe, you are right. However I want to play the game on which I spent 45€. And not a copyprotection that tells me that I have an invalid dvd. Well I could return the game and not buying it again at all, but I want to play.
