This isn't normally my thing, but it seems to be an interesting match (European Football, that is). Who's going to win? My money is on Israel.:smug:

Well they do have more tanks. ;)

Granted that has got nothing to do with football. ;) :p

You could hold the UK team hostage with those tanks while the Isrealies score?

You got to be kidding? English football hooligans are like, the most dangerous people on the planet! Who needs advanced weaponry and tanks, when in the right hands, a simple set of outdoor furniture can become a veritable nuclear weapon!

There won't be many England supporters. The Israelis are planning to occupy the stadium, declare that they own the English seats and then wall off and bomb the England fans if they complain about it.

No, not at all. I am just against political decisions being made on the basis of religion, be it zionism, crusades or jihad.

Anyhow, I've been naughty to make a political joke, lets keep this as a football topic.
I say there will be a 2-1 win for England! :D *waves flag*
(even if our team is in a ****-state at the moment*!)

*by "at the moment" I mean "since 1966" ;)

No, you;re just a truth twister. Nothing you alluded to on the part of my country has anything especially to do with religion.

And BTW, Zionism isn't a religion but keep trying.

I believe he was suggesting that Zionism is/was a political decision based on religion, not that it was a religion itself.

Actually, given the cuts to the Royal Navy, the IDF might have more ships at this point....:lol:

You are telling me that the sudden increase in Jewish emigration and occupation of Palestine in the 19th century and the conflicts there after have nothing "especially to do with religion"?

What Fatty said.
I guess English lessons are not great where you are*, but like you say....."keep trying". ;)

*They are not great in the UK either!

Jewish immigration to Israel in the late 19th century can hardly be described as an "occupation." The immigration that you are referring to was to lands which had been purchased by the Jewish immigrants in question. Moving onto land that has been purchased can hardly be described as an occupation.

Nah, I didn't mean it in the military sense. Just in the same way that I occupy the flat I am living in. To inhabit or dwell.

There have been various military occupations, but I don't wish to make any new points here as this is a football thread and I have already apologised once for going off topic.

I suggest if anyone wants to continue this line of discussion they create a new thread.
