Some questions about radars

Ok guys:
We've got 2 radars here: one to scan the surface of the sea and one for airplanes.
Now i've got some questions about them, and i would like any of you posted here his own doubts regarding radars:

1) The so called radar position in the conning tower manage just the surface radar? Because if i got the air radar that position is of no use.

2) How do you understand if the contacts the radar man cry out are surface of air ones?

3) Let's talk about the radar station: the radar on the right gives you an idea of the position of the object (azimuth+rough range), while the one on the left it's somewhat finer regarding range? And to get the spike on the left one i have to illuminate the target with the right one?

For all I can see and figure out, the RADAR stations don't work.

1. Cannot turn it on from buttons (mine stay grey).
2. Cannot click the on/off switch with the mouse.

I know others have it working.....am I missing something. I select RADAR Station, click which RADAR I want to look at. The hand and other buttons to the right stey grey. Clicking does nothing.

Any ideas?

its bugged. Ive tried a war patrol where it did say i had rader in both the repair screen and i got rader contancs, but i couldnt turn it on or operate it.

Ive then tried a single mission in 1945 just be sure i had it. and there it worked fine.

I did the same. It definately works later on in the war. I think it's more a matter of having access to a radar station on boats that don't have a radar station at this point.
